The FBM KLCI touched a two-week high of 1,264.9 points on Wednesday before closing at 1,257.7 points for a gain of 0.3% for the week.
Regional markets closed on a mixed note with selected North Asian markets easing on concerns that tighter monetary policies in the U.S. may dampen demand for regional exports.
The domestic market is anticipated to continue moving in tandem with overseas markets as investors monitor the outlook for global economic activities and interest rates.
