Regional markets generally closed on a positive note with the China H shares market rising by 4.2% on optimism that China may ease credit tightening measures as Europes sovereign debt crisis may dampen global economic growth.

Regional economic activities remained resilient with monthly export growth for Japan and Hong Kong continuing to expand at double digit growth rates in the month of April.

Regional markets are anticipated to continue moving in tandem with overseas markets as investors monitor the outlook for global economic activities and the impact of the European sovereign credit crisis on financial markets.
